That's what I thought, but then there was the
Ubuntu dual core laptop
that had the same problem. It has Python version 2.5. I have another
laptop single core running FC 8 with version 2.5 Python that doesn't
have the problem. So I'm seeing the same error with a later version
of Python...
When you say that it has the same problem, do you mean that it is
generating the same error message?
FutureWarning: x<<y losing bits or changing sign will return a long in
Python 2.4 and up
Are you sure that the version of Python that is actually being used is
Python 2.5? It seems strange that it would generate a FutureWarning about
this issue if it was really 2.5 that was running. I have a hard time
understanding how it could be a dual/non-dual issue. All the code was
developed on a dual machine. I also know that atleast one of the other
developers uses a dual machine as well. Can you give me more information
about the laptop and how you are running the tools? (ie OS version, PATH,
command line, etc). Are there multiple versions of Python installed on
the machine?
Has anyone else seen similar problems with either Ubuntu or dual machines?
